Brilliant day at the GB Open International and what an experience for some of Soncho Karate Club members this was!

We are beyond proud of everyone who had the courage to step on the tatami today!

Congratulations everyone, absolutely brilliant work today!!! Be proud of yourselves, whether you medalled or not, the experience you gained today is worth so much more!

Competitions expose us to different opponents and styles and highlight areas for improvement. We learn to adapt, perform under pressure, improve our focus and resilience.

When you train consistently and occasionally step on the tatami, you learn a thing or two every single time you expose yourself to such a challenge. You also gain an experience which makes a positive contribution to your karate and life outside the dojo.

Great work everyone, it takes an enormous amount of courage to step on the tatami, very proud of you all.
